Evergreen hosts Kitchenette Activity
The students of Evergreen Senior Secondary School, Vasundhara Enclave, took part in a Kitchenette activity titled CHOCOLA as part of an ISA project.
Class III students donned their chef caps and exhibited their culinary skills. They presented their scrumptious, mouth watering chocolate dishes. The jury members were overwhelmed by the efforts of the budding chefs. Aditya Srivastava stood first, Swarit S. Saran won the second prize while Satya Mukund & Ankush Sharma shared the third prize.
Special jury award was given to Idhika Verma. The event provided a platform to the children to use their minds and skills.









School Enterprise Challenge- ‘Teach A Man to Fish’

School Enterprise Challenge- ‘Teach A Man to Fish’Evergreen Sr Sec School, Vasundhara Enclave started the Activity ‘Bag for life’ under School Enterprise Challenge- ‘Teach A Man to Fish.’ Students conducted a survey in nearby areas and local market. Based on the preferences of people for Cloth or Paper over Polythene which is non- biodegradable and is choking the environment, students prepared Cloth bags & Sling bags and put up a counter to sell them to the parents. The parents appreciated their efforts wholeheartedly by buying them. They also expressed their happiness that the school focused on not only creating awareness but also taking measures on this Global Issue. Another important aspect that was focused upon was Skill Development among students which is the need of the hour and also stressed upon by the government. The students are determined to continue in their efforts n make earth a better place to live!








Rishabh Dobhal of Evergreen Sr. Sec. School did the school proud by securing 2nd position in the Inter School English Debate Competition held at Gyan Bharti School, Saket organised by SVC Guild, in association with Lioness Club of Delhi Greater. The competition saw participants from more than 20 schools from in and around South Delhi. There were only 2 positions and Rishabh proved his mettle by clinching the second position! The school indeed is proud of Rishabh for his oratory skills. The Principal of the school, Ms Priyanka Gulati congratulated Rishabh on his achievement!

I S A activity, Women Status- Quo Evergreen Senior Secondary School, Vasundhara Enclave, East Delhi, has initiated the process to install Global dimension to its education system by registering for British Council International School award (IAS). The students are involved in the international framework academically as well as with respect to extra curricular activities. One of them being Women Status- Quo. The students of class 9 were part of a special assembly that showed women and the condition in a male dominated society. The main aim of the assembly was to bring to the fore the issues related to women and their present state in our society. The students knew how to bring up such a sensitive issue in front of the audiences.

Trip to Madame Tussauds

Evergreen Sr. Sec. School organized a trip for the students on Saturday, 5th May 2018 to        Madame Tussauds. Students of class VI to XII joined the trip and they thoroughly enjoyed and unwinded themselves on seeing the creation of a detailed and life like wax figures of prominent personalities from the world of Sports, Bollywood, Politics and other arenas. It was an inspiring and an enriching experience for everyone.
The students also received a certificate of appreciation for their conduct and behaviour from Madame Tussauds.













MAY DAY - International Labour Day

It is only through labour and painful effort, by grim energy and resolute courage, we move on to better things.
Evergreen Senior secondary School observed May Day to express solidarity towards our helpers specially the working class with blue collar jobs. A class assembly was conducted in which significance of this International Labour Day was presentedthrough a skit. A well woven theme, revolving around Metro line workers was enacted which highlighted dignity of labour. Thereafter a scintillating German dance was performed by the students celebrating the social and economic achievements of labours and their contribution towards infrastructural growth and development. The event concluded with a speech to evoke a sense of respect for our supporting staff.


LITERACY IS A BRIDGE - FROM MISERY TO HOPE

EACH ONE TEACH TWO - A Literacy Mission
Evergreen Sr Sec School became the proud recipient of Rotary Club Trophy for their work towards spreading literacy under the banner ‘ Each One Teach Two.’ The school shares the trophy with Blue Bells School, New Delhi. Shaurya Mehrotra also won Raj Mohan Kapur Scholarship for teaching the slum learners.
Rhizoo Megas and Kartik Singh have been awarded with scholarship by the School Principal for their tireless efforts in spreading this mission. Kudos to the children!
